Accommodation Information
Your self-contained accommodation is attached to our home and features a
fully equipped kitchen with stove, microwave and all cooking
facilities. The bedroom has a queen sized bed with views over Russell,
and there is a double bed/settee in the lounge for additional guests.
Private bathroom with shower, and the lounge/dining room opens on to a
sunny deck with magnificent sea and garden views. Our quiet, no-exit
street offers secure, off-street parking.
Russell village and beautiful Long Beach are just a stroll away. Come
and make yourself at home. There is lots to do - fishing, camping,
honeymooning, fun, sea and sand. Gill and Eldon will help and guide you
to the best places to relax, have fun, hire equipment, charter yachts,
sail boats and launches. They can also guide you to the best
restaurants and magazine shops.
Gill also manages other accommodation including self-contained houses
where you can have complete privacy and relaxation.

I(Gill) am a butterfly lover and have a butterfly house in my garden where
monarch butterflies are raised and released in association with the New
Zealand Monarch Butterfly Trust - http://monarch.org.nz/monarch/ - of
which I am a trustee. While it's a national body, the trust began in
Russell.
Over the past year I have released over 1000 monarch butterflies from
my house. You can enjoy the monarch butterflies, mostly in the summer
as they frolic about my garden and feed on the many nectar plants I
have for them.
